Synopsis

 
This 2nd International Congress on Exacerbations of Airway Disease (ICEAD II) is intended to bring together leading experts from around the world to review the status of current research on acute exacerbation of asthma, paediatric asthma and COPD. Acute exacerbation of these diseases are major causes of morbidity, mortality and health care costs, yet their etiology and pathogenesis are poorly understood. They remain a major medical need, relatively poorly met by available therapies, both in terms of prevention and of treatment. 

This meeting will provide new insights into:

• Pathogenesis of Asthma Exacerbations I
• Treatment/Prevention of Asthma Exacerbation in Childhood
• Asthma Exacerbation Pathogenesis II
• Treatment of Asthma & COPD Exacerbations

• Treatment/Prevention of COPD Exacerbations
