Horizon Club Benefit

 
This benefit is available to all participants as an option with the additional charge of NT$2,000 for single occupancy and NT$2,600 for double occupancy.  The Horizon Benefit includes:
 
  • Option of the American Breakfast at the 36F Horizon Club Lounge instead of the 6F Cafe buffett breakfast.  Hours are 0630-1000.
  • Use of the Horizon Club Lounge daily with complimentary coffee, tea and soft drinks from 0630-2330
  • An afternoon tea service at the Horizon Club Lounge from 1430-1630
  • Cocktails and Canapes at the Horizon Club Lounge from 1730-1930
  • 2 hours use of the Horizon Club Executive Boardroom per stay
  • Free local phone calls
  • One suit pressed upon arrival
  • In room fax machine
 

Reservation Information

We suggest that you make your reservation as soon as possible to get the room you prefer.  Note that our negotiated rates are good from March 8 to March 14, 2010. The nights prior to the start of the meeting are subject to hotel availability. Please see the hotel website for more information about the hotel and Taipei.

The deadline for hotel reservations is February 19, 2010.

Check-In:

The hotel will try to accommodate early check-ins prior to 15:00 but suggests that if you plan to arrive at the hotel in the early morning, to reserve a room for the previous night.

Checkout:

The hotel has agreed to extend checkout for a limited number of rooms on the final day of the meeting to 14:30, subject to hotel availability.  Please reserve this late checkout with the hotel to avoid an additional charge.  Additional late checkout up to 18:00 is subject to an additional charge of 50% of the room rate NT$5,500 +10% service.

  • On the second page, select the deluxe room rate. This will take you to the third page, where you may selet the executive room type.
  • If you would like the Horizon Club Benefit and it does not show as an option on this page, add the request to the notes section on the final page.   Please note that this benefit will not be reflected as part of your total room cost.

Getting There

The hotel is located approximately 45 minutes from Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE), formerly known as Chiang Kai Shek International Airport, and is located close by the Liuzhangli MRT station for quick connections across the city and the greater Taipei region.

Transport to Hotel:

Hotel: You must reserve a pickup at the airport through the hotel at least half a day in advance.  The cost per car per trip is:
 
BMW:           NT$2,400 net
7-Seat Van: NT$3,100 net
 
Taxi: Travel time is approximately 50 minutes. The taxi fare is approximately
          NT$1,250  
 
Air Bus:
  • Buses depart every 20 minutes. The Air Bus travel time is approximately 1 hour 10 minutes.
  • The fare is NT$145. 
  • The buses are located on the north side of the Departure Hall from Terminal 1 or on the Southeast side of the Arrival Passenger Reception Area facing Terminal 2.  The bus drop off is right outside of the Far Eastern Plaza Hotel, by the Tun Hwa South Road, at the corner.
